Webbing Information

General Webbing Facts
Webbing sold by the yard.
Webbing weights, widths and dye lot (color) vary from one web to another. 1/16″ variance in width is considered acceptable by mill standards. Any notable differences will be listed by the specific webbing.
Some webbing lengths may contain splices (two pieces). If necessary to send a spliced piece, we will compensate by sending an extra yard. All prepacked or pre-measured webbing rolls, generally 50-100 yards, will be sent as is, no compensation for the splices.
Light Weight Webbing Facts
This nylon webbing is lighter weight than the average webbing available for collars, making this webbing just right for adding ribbon or fabric trims, while eliminating excess bulk. An additional layer may be needed to work with some of the hardware on this site.
The average weight of light weight webbing is .040 inch or 1.0 mm thick and will vary slightly from size to size and batch to batch.
Heavy Weight Webbing Facts
This nylon webbing is the classic heavy weight webbing generally seen in commercially available collars and other products. This webbing weight works with hardware available on this site when used alone, but may not work with the addition of fabric or trims.
The average weight of this webbing is .072 inch or 1.8 mm thick and will vary slightly from size to size and batch to batch.
Polypropylene Webbing Facts
This webbing is typically used for outdoor applications. It is water repellent, mildew resistant and won’t stretch like nylon webbing when wet. It is easier to clean and less expensive than nylon webbing. This particular webbing group is a good soft quality, not stiff and scratchy like some polypropylene webbing.
The average weight of this webbing is .055 inch or 1.40 mm thick and will vary slightly from size to size and batch to batch.
