Cotton Straps are made using lightweight cotton fabric and iron-on interfacing. Cotton straps can be made and substituted for webbing strap for any size project.

Choose lightweight cotton fabric and craft weight interfacing. (Pellon® Craft-Fuse®)

1. Cut fabric to desired size using chart below as a guide to make any size strap.

Or choose collar style tutorial and refer to chart (at bottom of page for each style), for strap length needed to make collar. Use instructions below to make collar strap, then refer back to chosen collar style instructions to construct collar.

2. Cut interfacing to desired size according to chart below. (note for 3/8 and 1/2″ widths, a lighter weight interfacing may be necessary to keep strap thin enough to fit through hardware slots)

3. Preheat iron to lowest steam setting.

4. Lay fabric on ironing board, wrong side up. Center interfacing, fusible side down, on fabric.
